Health professional perspectives of patient safety issues in intensive care units in Saudi Arabia

Despite adverse errors leading to poor patient outcomes, there is a paucity of literature, including staff perceptions, on adverse errors in Saudi Arabian intensive care units. So the aim of this study was to examine attitudes to patient safety in two intensive care units from the perspective of health care professionals in Saudi Arabia with a descriptive cross-sectional design was used.

Development and Testing of the Provider and Staff Perceptions of Integrated Care (PSPIC) Survey

This article discusses development and testing of the Provider and Staff Perceptions of Integrated Care Survey, a 21-item questionnaire, informed by Singer and colleagues’ seven-construct framework. Questionnaires were sent to 2,936 providers and staff at 100 federally qualified health centers and other safety net clinics in 10 Midwestern U.S. states. Item analyses, exploratory factor analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis were undertaken.

Survey on what people value in integrated health services in the European region launched

In collaboration with the World Health Organization, Tilburg University and Vilans have launched a European survey researching what values matter to different people in integrated health services. The web-based survey is aimed at a broad variety of stakeholders: users, informal carers, professionals, managers, policymakers and researchers in the European region. The survey is available in English and will take no more than approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. All information recorded is confidential, and names are not being included.

It is of huge importance to include the views of informal carers in the study. So if you are an informal carer, an informal carer representative, a user representative, an advocate, or a professional/researcher in this field, please help them out by completing this survey. International cooperation in public health in Martinique: geostrategic utility for cancer surveillance in the Caribbean

Cooperation in public health and in oncology in particular, is currently a major issue for the island of Martinique, given its geopolitical position in the Caribbean region. The region of Martinique shares certain public health problems with other countries of the Caribbean, notably in terms of diagnostic and therapeutic management of patients with cancer. This study presents a roadmap of cooperation priorities and activities in cancer surveillance and oncology in Martinique.
